According to Winnipeg Police Service, the incident occurred just before 5:20 a.m. near the intersection of Henderson Highway and Neil Avenue. A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a vehicle while crossing the roadway during the early hours of the morning. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene following 911 calls.
The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, the individual later succumbed to their injuries. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin.
